Letters To Real People

At school, 5DC have been working on writing letters. The first thing we did on letters was writing our own letter to show what we knew about letters. Everyone wrote a letter to someone they knew and they had to write them in the way they understand. After, we learned a little bit more about formal letters and self assessed our pre assessment letters.. Then, for homework, we wrote letters with more knowledge about them. Mr. Chan read them and he told us what we needed to add to make the letter better.

Firstly, we would have to write a draft with the receiver's address and the sender’s address. In the letter we needed to be careful with things like dividing it into paragraphs, conventions and idea development. After writing the draft Mr.Chan checked and gave us advice. Then we made corrections and we checked each others letters.

Now on to the final stage. We wrote final copies of our letters. Ami’s is sending the letter to Alison, an old friend that Ami has. Connie is sending it to her grandparents. Miya is sending it to her best friend, Taya.
