The Singapore museum was sort of fun I saw lots of things and learned lots about the history of Singapore. One of my favourite parts was when we learned about the convicts and how there life was. When the guide talked about them being shipped to Singapore to do labour I was surprised that they did this just because the convicts stole something. It could be something like a piece of bread. The labour they had to do was make bricks or build drains and what confused and surprised me was that they chose to stay in Singapore once they were set free and I thought why? I thought why because it was a place they worked hard and did labour in and they weren’t paid for it because they were prisoners. I thought that bit in the museum was good and the artifact and rooms around it were cool. My least favourite part of the museum was when they talked about the Chinese women dress makers because I wasn’t interested in the style they wore or that they had to make embroidery. I liked the artifact which was the rickshaw and I learned that it was the way wealthy people traveled around Singapore. Overall I thought that the field trip to the museum was interesting and so worth going to!
