On Tuesday we went to the Chinatown Heritage Centre. We learned how the Chinese came to Singapore. For example, they used a boat called a "Chinese Junk" and that they only had a tiny bag to bring their belongings from China. Inside that bag, there were only some clothes and something for their job. If somebody died on the Junk, they would be thrown overboard so that the rest of the passengers would not get sick.

Today the student council was chosen. They will work for the first semester. The student council in 5DC are Yuta and Sofie. Their job is to help other people, to the ISS students happy (ex. organizing fun runs and the talent show).

I wish Student Council will do a great job for us!!!! I hope they'll stop people getting bullied and make everybody( in ISS) feel good at school.
ReplyDeleteAt China Town, I learned that people throw dead bodies to the sea in Chinese Junk, but I think it's awful.
Great Job Sofie and Yuta! Hopefully you two will be great student councils and I hope you two will make this school a better and more peaceful place to learn and enjoy.
